Impaired Driver Rehabilitation Program in Vermont

DUI Processor DUI Screening

In Vermont, it is illegal to drive a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol or other drugs. The Impaired Driver Rehabilitation Program (IDRP) (formerly known as Project CRASH) provides individuals convicted of driving under the influence with the opportunity to openly examine facts about alcohol and other drugs, and discuss the role these substances play in their life. The program curriculum includes lectures, reading materials, videos and small group discussions.

WHAT TO EXPECT AT YOUR EVALUATION?

If you are convicted of driving under the influence, you must successfully complete the IDRP before your privilege to drive can be reinstated. If treatment is required, you must successfully complete a treatment program with a licensed or certified alcohol and drug counselor. The program evaluator will explain the process and requirements at your intake evaluation. If this is your first or second DUI, you may participate in a weekday or weekend program. Programs will vary by location.
